The Pre-School
Our Pre School aims
To inspire happy, confident and inquisitive learners.
To be respectful, kind, caring and independent.
To grow together and achieve.
How we achieve it
Children learn more in the first five years than at any other time in their lives. At Long Itchington Pre School we want to give your child the best early years experience possible. We are here to be a positive and supportive role model to your child, helping them to feel confident in themselves, giving them the resources they need to grow in whichever direction they choose and at a speed that is right for them.
To do this we…
We maintain strong links with you, the child’s parents and carers, to support and involve you in your child’s progress and development
We’ll help you and your child with transitions from home to preschool, then from preschool to school
We promote and value fundamental British values, the diversity of other cultures and beliefs of others
We provide a high quality of teaching and learning experiences which enable every child to be a happy and confident learner, recognising that each child will learn and develop in their own way, mentally, physically, socially and emotionally
Ensure children are always safe
Work to the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards for the learning, development and care of your child
“Managers demonstrate passion and drive, striving to continually improve the provision and outcomes for children. Staff get to know children's individual personalities, interests and developmental needs well. Strong focus is given to helping children build good relationships with staff and one another and to foster children's development of confidence and self assurance.”

The Pre School Setting
We are a separate, self-contained setting within Long Itchington Primary School and benefit from close links with the school, and in particular, with the reception teacher.
Pre School has a high ratio of adults to children in the setting. This helps:
give time and attention to each child
talk with the children about their interests and activities
children to benefit from the activities we provide
allow the children to explore and be adventurous in safety
